Dr Samir Suresh Deolekar studied at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, where he earned his MBBS in 1996 and his MS in General Surgery in 2001. He completed the DNB in General Surgery in 2002.

He trained further at Tata Memorial Hospital and KEM Hospital, and abroad in Hong Kong, Belgium and South Korea. Today he is Professor of Surgery and Head of Unit at KEM Hospital, sees patients privately at Asha Surgical Clinic in Mulund East, and is a visiting consultant surgeon at Navkaar Hospitals, Bhandup.
